While we are stuck at our respective homes in the lockdown period to stop the spread of deadly virus Covid19, there are many recipes which are trending these days, which you can relish on while staying at home, right from Dalgona coffee to home made chaats and pani puri. While you relish on these amazing home made lip smacking foods, we would also like to bring down your attention to the limited set of activities that you are able to conduct while being stuck in those four walls. Certain people are at higher risk, which includes elderly people, people already suffering from prolonging disease or people whose close relative might have got contaminated with corona virus and the days of crisis may become extremely depressing for them. Hence it is important that during these days, you keep your body, physically, emotionally and mentally. Following are various tips that you may like to include in your daily routine to ensure your personal well being:

  •  Eat balanced diet with sufficient vitamins, protein and minerals by including portions of different kinds of fruits, vegetables and dairy products.
  •  Begin your day with either yoga or a session of meditation. Also if possible, try doing some body weight exercises like push-ups, planks, pull-ups, skipping rope and stretching.
  •  Try limiting consumption of any type of news or social media. If you cant completely stop it, put a daily limit of 15-20min on everyday consumption by reminders and screen time feature. Instead you may utilize your time in reading books or learning new skills online
  •  Utilise the time of lockdown in uncluttering your surrounding. Your wardrobe or your cupboard, which was long being procrastinated because of lack of time in your schedule, may get some attention now especially when you are saving lot of time, by completing your office work from home and saving time from daily commute
  •  While your wife or mother or sister may also be going through the same stress as you, it is important to understand their stress. And rather than making the period of lockdown a punishment for them, use this as an opportunity to become a true partner to them by helping them out with their daily errands. This may also give you an opportunity to learn the recipe of the dish that you love the most, so then you can enjoy it at your own wish.
  •  Try hands at blogging: In today digital world, everyone has got their own opinion and their own individualistic identity. If you think you got opinion which is really important and people would love reading your thoughts through blogs written by you then you must give it a try. With platforms like wordpress and bloggr, anyone and everyone can become a blogger and can start writing their views about things that interest you the most. This wont just help you in art of articulating your thoughts but will also help you earn some extra bucks as your side income.
  •  Reach out to your old friend or extended family: While you may be conveniently sitting at your home, totally enjoying your time away from work, there might be a close relative of yours who might need some support to make their ends meet. There may be some of your friend stuck at PG struggling to get their meals arranged or elderly relative of yours who stay alone and struggle with their grocery needs. In these tough times, please reach out to them and extend your support.
